FAQ

FAQ

Is YepSavings affiliated with Costco?

No, we are an independent website and are not affiliated with Costco in any way. We are not owned by Costco, nor are we paid by Costco.

How does YepSavings obtain these discount information?

Our staff takes pictures of products and price tags in-store, then updates them on our website.

When and how often do you update?

We update twice a week. For new sale items released on Mondays, we update them on Monday afternoon. We also update on Friday afternoon and publish a "Weekend Update" to catch any items that go on sale mid-week.

Do you have a fixed update schedule?

We're sorry, but we don't have a fixed update schedule at the moment. We take photos first and then upload them, so the time needed for each update depends on the amount of discounted items. However, we always strive to release updates as quickly as possible.

Are the discounted items at Costco stores in the same city exactly the same?

No, each store has its own sales plan, and not all discounted and clearance items are exactly the same at every location, even within the same city.

How many store locations do you currently have information on?

Currently, we have updated discount information for only four locations: Costco Beacon Hill in Calgary, AB; Costco Elgin Mills in Richmond Hill, ON; Costco 3180 Laird Rd in Mississauga, ON; and Costco South in Saskatoon, SK.

What should I do if my Costco store is not on the YepSavings website?

You can refer to the nearest Costco store on the website. Although the discount information may not be exactly the same, most major brand discounted products can be found at almost all Costco locations.

Can I purchase products through YepSavings?

No, YepSavings only provides information about discounted products.

Where can I purchase the discounted products featured on the website?

These sales can be found in your local Costco warehouse. Availability may vary, but generally most major brand items are stocked and on sale at all regional Costco warehouses.

Can I buy these products on Costco.ca?

The prices shown on our website are for in-store purchases only. You might be able to find some of the products on Costco.ca, but they may be more expensive due to shipping costs added to the online price.

Do all Costco locations in Canada have the same discounted products?

No, each store has its own sales plan, and not all discounted and clearance items are exactly the same at every location, even within the same city. However, most major brand discounted products can be found at almost all Costco locations.

Why doesn't my Costco have the discounted products featured on the website?

This may be due to the fact that each Costco location may have different discounted products available.

Why is the sale price no longer available at my Warehouse?

Costco sale offerings have an expiry date, which we clearly publish. Although most expiry dates are the same across all Costcos, sometimes the stock sells out earlier in certain locations, or the local staff may not have changed the price tag, or the local warehouse may not be offering the sale price.

Why are there ads?

The site is supported by pay-per-click ads.

What does the "*" mean on a price tag?

The "*" indicates that this item will not be reordered. This may be due to insufficient sales or because it is a seasonal item. If you want this item, make sure to stock up as it may not be available at your local Costco for at least a year.

What does it mean when an item has a price ending in ".97"?

Prices ending in ".97" are clearance items. If an item is on clearance, it is likely that these are the last few available, or the item isn't selling well. Items with prices ending in ".97" may not be available at every local warehouse, and there may be additional or different items on clearance at your local warehouse.

Why can't I find clearance items in the store even though they are listed on the website?

Clearance items are available in limited quantities and may sell out quickly. We cannot guarantee that all clearance or sale items listed on our website will be available in-store.

Why did I see "OFF" discounts on the website but couldn't find them in-store?

It is possible that the items have sold out. We cannot guarantee that all clearance or sale items listed on our website will be available in-store.

I saw an item on sale on your website, but it is not on sale in my local store – Can I get a rain check?

While most sale items are consistent throughout the region, some sale items may vary by store. Your local Costco's price will always take precedence over the prices posted on our website, but you can always visit your local Costco's Customer Service desk with rain check or price match requests.

I bought an item last week, and now it's on sale. Will Costco adjust the price?

Costco will often refund you the difference between the price you paid and the newly posted sale price with a few conditions: The item must be in stock and currently advertised at the sale price, and the time limit for price adjustments is 30 days.

I saw an item that was on sale last week, but it has since expired. Can I still get the sale price?

Unfortunately, once the sale is over, you will not be able to get the sale price. Check our website every week to make sure you don't miss a sale. Expiry dates of sales are shown on price tags and in the text under our post pictures.

How do I get notifications when sale items are posted?
