Costco Dungeness Crab Recalled Over Listeria Contamination
What Happened
Lions Gate Fisheries Ltd. has recalled Whole Cooked Dungeness Crab (Costco Item #31761 and #31768) sold at Costco Canada warehouses in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. The recall was issued on April 1, 2026, due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination.
The affected products were sold between March 5 and March 31, 2026. Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled but can still make you sick. Symptoms can include vomiting, nausea, persistent fever, muscle aches, severe headache, and neck stiffness. Pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems are particularly at risk. If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider.
Lions Gate Fisheries has not received any reports of illness with the Whole Cooked Dungeness Crab.
