Costco Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice Recalled Over Glass
What Happened
Ajinomoto Foods North America has issued a voluntary recall for Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice (6 x 255 g) sold at Costco warehouses and Costco Business Centres across Canada. The recall was first announced on February 20, 2026, and has since been expanded twice (February 27 and March 13) to cover the complete scope of affected products.
The recall was issued in cooperation with the USDA and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) due to the potential presence of glass in the product. There have been no confirmed reports of injuries.
How to Identify the Product
The Yakitori Chicken Fried Rice comes in a rectangular box containing six individually sealed 255 g pouches. The best-before date is printed in YY MM DD format (e.g., 26 05 15 for May 15, 2026) on the side panel of the outer box and on each individual pouch.
