Costco Paddle Board Review: Aqua Marina Revolution 11 ft

If you are looking at a Costco paddle board in Canada, the Aqua Marina Revolution is one of the easiest ways to get on the water without buying accessories separately. The board, paddle, 12V electric pump, ankle leash, backpack, fin, repair kit and waterproof phone case all come in the one box.
I bought this 11 ft inflatable SUP (ITM 1989193) at a warehouse price of CA$299.99, CA$50 below its CA$349.99 regular price. I already owned Costco's Body Glove Performer GTS from last year, so instead of only reading spec sheets I put both boards side by side and photographed them together.

What Comes in the Costco Aqua Marina Revolution Bundle?
Costco lists item 1989193, model BT-26SBT. The box contained:

The most useful parts of this list are the electric pump and the backpack. They are not throwaway extras — they affect how easy the board is to use every single time you take it out.

If you are heading somewhere you cannot park close to the water, check whether you can bring a compatible manual SUP pump.

The 34-inch width and flat square tail make the design priority obvious: stability first, outright speed second. Aqua Marina describes the construction as woven drop-stitch with welded side rail seams, so once it is inflated to pressure the internal fibres help the board hold its shape and stiffness.
One specification difference is worth stating plainly: Costco lists the weight as 8.8 kg, while Aqua Marina's own site currently lists 9.2 kg. The 0.4 kg gap probably comes down to what is being weighed. It does not change the buying decision, but the two numbers should not be mixed together.
Independent reviewers place the board in the same category. SUPboarder rated it highly for stability and value and described it as suited to beginners, families and calm water, with slower glide and modest tracking from the small fin as the trade-offs. Supconnect similarly found it stable and easy to transport, with average glide efficiency.
Those conclusions match the shape. That said, in my own paddling I did not feel a dramatic speed or stability gap between the Aqua Marina and the Body Glove, so I would not claim from the spec sheet alone that either board is noticeably faster or steadier on the water.

The Aqua Marina's clearest advantage is that it is about 4.4 lb lighter. Carrying it from the parking spot to the water and loading it back into the car makes that gap matter more than it looks on paper. It is also a full 6 inches thick against the Body Glove's 5.4 inches.
The Body Glove has some more mature details, such as the centre handle that doubles as a bottle holder, and it has been a common Costco paddle board choice for years. But when the Body Glove sits around CA$379.99 to CA$399.99 and the Aqua Marina is on a CA$299.99 promotion, that is a CA$80 to CA$100 gap. For anyone without a clear racing or distance requirement, I would rather put that difference toward a PFD, a dry bag or other safety gear I will actually use.

Is the Costco Price Worth It?
Judging whether a Costco paddle board is good value means asking what it costs to actually get on the water the first time, not just what the board costs.
A cheap board that arrives without a pump, paddle, fin, leash or bag stops being cheap once you buy those things. The Aqua Marina Revolution covers most of that list in the box:
- No separate paddle to buy.
- No separate basic electric pump to buy.
- No separate leash, fin or backpack to buy.
- Even the waterproof phone case and a basic repair kit are included.
So the price is not just "a cheap board" — it is a kit you can start using recreationally straight away.

- Lighter to carry. At 19.4 lb it is about 4.4 lb lighter than the Body Glove Performer GTS.
- Beginner-friendly dimensions. 11 feet long and 34 inches wide gives plenty of deck space.
- Easy to spot. The blue deck with fluorescent green and orange accents stands out on the water.
- No exaggerated differences. For my recreational use, both boards got me on the water easily.
What to Consider
- It is not a speed board. The 34-inch width prioritises stability, and long-distance glide is not its strength.
- Tracking from the small fin is limited. You will make correction strokes, which is expected at this width.
- The electric pump depends on a car's 12V outlet. Plan ahead for launches where you cannot park close.
- No PFD in the box. The leash and phone case are included, but the single most important piece of safety equipment is not.
- A 12-month warranty is not especially long. Check the valve, seams and for air loss early rather than late.
- Recheck the value at regular price. At CA$349.99 it is still reasonable, but compare it against whatever other Costco paddle boards are discounted that week.
What You Still Need to Buy
A complete accessory list is not the same thing as a complete safety kit. What I would add first:
- A correctly sized, Canadian-approved PFD or lifejacket
- A whistle you can attach to yourself
- A dry bag for keys, clothing and sun protection
- Sunscreen, a hat and drinking water
- A compatible manual pump if you will inflate away from your vehicle
Transport Canada advises wearing a PFD or lifejacket at all times when paddleboarding. The included ankle leash is not a substitute for one, and ankle leashes suit calm flat water; in rivers, streams or moving water they can snag on obstacles, so a quick-release waist leash is the appropriate choice there.
Who Should Buy It?
I would recommend it if you:
- Are buying a first inflatable SUP and want the basics in one box
- Mostly paddle lakes, sheltered bays or close to shore
- Value stability, portability and price over speed
- Already own one board and want an affordable second one
- Catch it during a Costco promotion around the CA$299.99 mark
Consider a more specialised board if you:
- Regularly paddle long distances
- Care about straight-line tracking and glide efficiency
- Paddle in wind, chop or moving water
- Want a longer warranty, a better paddle or an upgradeable fin system

Final Verdict
The Aqua Marina Revolution does not win on speed or specialist performance. What makes it appealing is that a beginner-friendly 11 ft inflatable board, a 12V electric pump, a paddle, a backpack, a leash, a fin and the smaller extras all arrive together in one promotional package.
Having compared it directly against the Body Glove Performer GTS I already owned, I did not get a dramatic on-water upgrade — but I did not feel I gave anything up either. Given that it is lighter, cheaper on promotion and comes with enough accessories to start immediately, that is exactly the right way to think about where it sits.
If you want to start paddle boarding without spending much, or you want an affordable second board for the family, it is worth buying around the CA$299.99 mark. Once it returns to the CA$349.99 regular price, check what other Costco paddle boards are discounted that week before deciding.
